I' m darn-near certain he' s wrong; one of the other guys will be along to tell you for certain.

I bet he got confused because Parker was one of the first companies Mathews licensed their cams to.

Nope. Two different companies.

I seem to remember that Parker is the guy who designed Mathew' s single cam, then left and started Parker. There are experts out there who will tell you more definitively than me.

I would say hes wrong , parker uses some bowtech cams on one of their bows . But both companies market a bow called genisis , and it appears to be the same bow ?

Matt Mcpherson designed the solo cam bows for Matthews. Then he started making Mcpherson. If he is now the owner of Parker Bows, I don' t know.

No, definitely not. As was mentioned above, the only real link between the two companies that I am aware of is the Genesis bow.

Always take what the BPS and Cabelas store employees say with a grain of salt. I' ve NOT had good experiences dealing with them in person. SOME of them really know their stuff but NOT ALL! I have a BPS near my work that I visit occasionally, and for every bit of good advice I' ve heard being given (to me and others) there has been equally bad/wrong advice offered.

One thing with BPS and Cabelas employees is that they know a little about everything, but are still specialized in their areas. For instance a guy might know everything about handguns but when it comes to rifles, they know just a breif amount.

Even though the employees don' t know everything, an employee that works full-time for over a year, will know more about every product in the department as a whole than 95% of the hunters that come into there. And that would deffinately be on the low end. At least at Cabelas, haven' t dealed with BPS for years.

From what I' ve seen at the Bass Pro near me, is that they know a little about everything, and nothing about a whole lot. A local shop told me that someone brought in a bow that Bass Pro had put a new string on. They didn' t have the right size, so they put a longer string on, and wrapped the extra several times around the peg. It' s a neat store to go to, but when I want professional help, I go to Len' s.
Mathews does not own Parker. Mathews developed the Genisis bow, and it is marketed under Mathews, Parker, and True Flight.
I may be wrong, but I believe that Mathews was licensing out there cam, to High Country and others, long before Parker was around.
