What do you do with the guts?
Where I hunt at mostly is close to home and we hardley ever gut a deer. After the jobs done we have a tub of carcass and guts to get rid of. I get so tired of seeing them on the side of the road. Mostly we throw them in the river to bait us up a catfish hole, or bury them on the farm. What do ya' ll do with them?

RE: What do you do with the guts?
Leave ' em in the woods for the yotes and the crows to get. Usually they' re gone overnight.
Of course that requires me actually KILLING a deer first. :D |
RE: What do you do with the guts?

RE: What do you do with the guts?
On the extremely rare occassion when I do harvest a deer (I think I killed my last one sometime back in the 20' s), I gut em where they drop. Coons, opossums, coyotes, crows, weasels, you name it.... gone by the next day usually.

RE: What do you do with the guts?
Leave them in the woods. Why would you want to take them home when you had a chance to leave them in the woods??? Makes no sense.;) |
RE: What do you do with the guts?
leave em in the woods, if the critters dont eat them, they will make great fertilizer.

RE: What do you do with the guts?
Leave them where the deer fell. Makes the deer easier to drag.

BadShot has the right idea. There are so many creatures that will take care of it for you that they are usually gone within a day or two.
