Believe it or not my brother got two does with one arrow last year. Passed right thru the first and struck the lungs on the second. Both deer didn' t go 50 yards. I keep forgetting to ask him what broadheads he is using......:)

I shot three on the same hunt with a bow several years ago. This was on a federal installation with no bag limit.

I shot a doe and a nice 8 pt buck in one evening in about 2 ft of snow and abou 15 below zero. My bow was (which I didn' t know)off about 6 inches to the left and I wound up hitting both in the guts. We found them both around midnight, didn' t actually know which one we would get to first because they had crossed paths. It was Dec 30th and the horns actually fell off the buck as we tried to drag him out. Kind of weird.

I killed a big doe this year and 5 min later killed a nice 7-pointer.
Could have killed more but couldn' t legally do that. Talk about your nerves being tore up;)

One year I shot a doe with my shotgun while I was sitting on the ground leaning up next to tree, got up and gutted her out, and then went back and sat back down. Half hour later, another doe came in the woods at the same spot, shot her too, dressed her out and was done hunting, all this happened in about 1 hour.

Last year I shot three does in the same morning. Two does walk right under my stand wham, I shoot doe number one, she runs about 30 yards and never comes out from behind some big palmettos. Doe number tow only runs off about 30 yards and looks around to see what just happened. Wham, I shoot her, she goes down with in sight. I’m sitting in my stand trying to replay what had just happened and a doe steps out right where doe number one went down. I’m thinking no way did I miss doe number one. I look her over and see no sign off blood or any injury so I take her. Much to my surprise when I got down from my stand and look around. I find doe number one right where she had went down. Now I’m thinking oh no. Sure enough I find all three does. The only problem is that in Florida you can only take two deer a day. Honest mistake. So I call a friend to help me out of this jam. What a morning. All this happened before 7 am.

DaveInOh,

I would like to say congrats on doing the right thing...even if you were bending the law. A few years back I saw a fawn get hit by a car as I was coming home from my stand after dark. I stopped to see the deer and to my amazement, it was still alive. When I got home I called Missouri Dept. of Cons. They were understandably a bit busy being the first week of gun season. They said to call the police and have them put it down. Since we lived outside of city limits, the city police couldn' t come out and the sheriff wanted to take up to 3 hours (if at all) to do it. I decided to go back and take care of it myself, even if it meant paying a fine for " harvesting an animal after legal shooting hours."

Sometimes you have to follow the INTENT of the law and not the LETTER of the law.
