** Update/ MONSTER Nebraska Buck w/ PIC **
 

Hey guys,
A few weeks ago I posted the story of a HUGE Nebraska buck that Jeff Moody a buddy of Jerry Sanford' s @ Stealth Archery killed (Jerry goes by " Stealthman" here). This is such a special deer that I wanted to give you all an update of this buck with a new picture........turns out that this buck gross scores 235 3/8" and nets 225 3/8" making it the #2 all time Non-Typical for the state of Nebraska! (Too bad Ol' Jeff didn' t get in the Moderator' s Cup!:D)
Jeff had been hunting this particular deer for 2 seasons before tagging him.
Man what a deer! I thought you guys might like a better look at him.


I had the pleasure of hunting with Jerry last week myself near the same area that this buck was taken........man are there some " big A" deer out there![:o] I couldn' t quite put it together, and the weather was a treat at times, but I had some close encounters with 2 bucks of my dreams!
(Wish I could have held the rack from Jeff' s deer but it was at the taxidermist!:()
Jerry and I have become good friends over the last few years through my testing of his products, and now we are simply hunting buddies........so I guess I am now no longer " Impartial" when it comes to his " Stealth" stabilizers, but just remember when you hear me praising them that the stabilizers and a butt-load of testing came before the friendship!:)
(If I don' t get invited back I wonder if SIMS has an opening on their " Pro-Staff" ?;)[&:])

The first picture is really bad. When people get down behind a deer like that and extend their arms all the way it distorts everything. You can' t tell what the size is because the perspective is all thrown out of whack. Now the original picture as you call it shows him like he truly is. A glob of points and mass and everything nice. Great deer.

Matt,
You are invited back.......but next time you have to take home one of those " DREAM" bucks,OK?
You already dont have the " TYPICAL" stabilizer on your bow since your shooting a STEALTH, so now we just have to get a " NON-TYPICAL" buck to walk by........or did that already happen?????;)
Theres a little " Stealth magic" in every stabilizer I build, [:-]but we will just use an extra dose of " STEALTH MAGIC" next year..........you never know.....the CrabOrchard Creature just might walk by!!!!!!!

Do you think we could hunt any harder if Ida did`nt feed us so much?:D

You' ve upgraded your model! That' s a much better looking prototype than the Oak Tree with the hairy back rub marks on it!:D

I know I could have climbed into some of those trapeeze style stands a little easier if Ida didn' t know how to cook! Nothing like 2 helpings of Cheese Enchiladas to test out the tree steps.[:o](As well as the Scent Blocker Pants);)

That is trully a " Monster" buck as that rack looks almost too big to fit on any deer' s head. :D

I only have on problem with the top picture....why, oh why, did he have to stick that nasty ol' Mathews in the bottom of the pic?[X(]

[:o]He stole it. I seen him. I shot that buck and went back to get it the next morning and I saw him dragging it out.[:@] No wait that ain' t the story......uh, uh, he got it from a zoo. Yeah, thats it. He got it from the zoo and and and he uh....raised it in his back yard and then and then and then he shot it at night from a moving vehicle....in another state. In the city limits. Wal-mart parking lot to be exact.:D Just Kidding.:D

Great bucks like that always create some kind of commotion.

Darn you anyway Frank, here I was going to give a good plug for the trusty ole Mathews, and you have to go and beat me to it. But atleast you can say Mathews now without stuttering. Maybe it is time to get the trusty FX out of your closet again!!

But, that is one truely awesome animal. How does one compose themselves in preperation for the shot on an animal like that?

You can purchase Stealth stabilizers online at www.stealtharchery.com or you may order from Cabela`s ,they carry the 6&8 inch Stealth Hunter ! The Stealth website has 6,8,10 & 12inch!

Big Country, A P&Y buck is worth posting any day. Even though stealthman popped a buck with antlers big enough to build a tree house in.

hardluck71....you are right. The buck I took in Illinois this year is the smallest I have taken there for years, but he is mine, and I am satisfied with the little bugger! Over 11" g-2`s make him look pretty neat.

I don`t have any digital pics of him, and no scanner right now, but I will get a pic posted before too long.

If that is the smallest you have take in years and he makes book, then you have had some awesome years there. The only way that my best two bucks will make any book is if it is a photo album.

Jerry, no problem, I will send you some pictures from this year and last year. Those are the only two I took using your stabilizer. The good news is....from now on, they will all be that way.;)
