Hello, for hunting Black Bear, can I use mechanical broadheads which I usually use, or should I use fixed blades broadheads for penetration. It will be in September so their fur might not be as thick.

From what I have read mechanicals are very good on bears. Just make sure and avoid the shoulder. Aim for the middle of the middle then forward a couple inches.

I will be on my first bear hunt the first weekend of Oct and plan on using Rage Trypans.
