Yes, wounded deer is a reality..........and I' m not one to sugar coat anything. Maybe I haven' t been on here long enough to tell if the amount is larger or about the same as compared to other seasons, but it seems there are many more of one than the other.

If a hunter makes a decent shot and has trouble finding his deer, that' s fine, let' s help him out...........

If a hunter takes a shot that he shoudn' t have taken and losses a deer.......let' s tell him what we think caused it...........

You are right. There are a lot of lost deer this year. I' m beginning to think every damn deer in my area is lost. I just wish they would find their way back to my stand so I could get a shot at them. ;)

First congrats to your buddy on a clean kill. I have to agree with ricoace and others that when it comes to wounding or tracking a wounded deer people do tend to read and reply far more often than on the good clean kills. This is a good thing, people need to learn how to track and take high percentage shots, it is important that people give their inputs on these matters to hopefully cut down on the number of lost and wounded deer.

On the other hand I have noticed something that kind of gets to me, people posting up about there first bow kills and in some cases the post is up for several hours before someone congradulates them! I don' t get this, everyone of us will never forget the thrill of their first bow kill, I know many folks here do commend people for their first kill, but some of us tend to forget just how exciting our first kill was and how you wanted to brag about it, we all need to take that 30-40 seconds to simply say congrats to a fellow bow hunter on thier first.

Well said, Taz.... Well said. I hope this season I' ll finally be able to get my first bow kill. I went way out to Cumberland State Forest on Saturday and fell in love with the place. Very, very, promising! {I was supposed to go to AP Hill, but, then, just go to the " south" forum and read about " The Hill [:@] }
