RE: Season over or not xray will tell
I wish you luck as well. There has only been one occasion when I had a physical injury and knew that it would take away from my bowhunting opportunities. To put it in plain words, it just plain sucked....but I am glad I did the right thing and was able to bowhunt again the next season.

Tell your doc to delay the surgery till after the season and give you something for the pain while hunting. Hope it all works out for the best, Budd.

RE: Season over or not xray will tell
Sorry to hear. Did any of yall see the article in Bowhunter Magazine or something about a guy who shot a mouth release? He hurt his arm somehow and got a mouthpeice release and practiced and was able to hunt that season. May be a little much for a temporary injury but if its going to kill your season it may be somethin to look into:) hope all turns out well

RE: Season over or not xray will tell
I had to make a hard decision a few years back after I killed a buck on opening day . . . then accidently drove my knife through my wrist the next day butchering him.[:o][:' (]
I had cut the major tendons there and was told I could do nothing and eventually get a significant part of my strength back from other tendons helping, but surgery was recommended--effectively ending my season. Fortunately, I elected surgery and listened to everyone elses' success stories, but recovered faster than expected and did get back out later in the season. Do the right thing and get the shoulder healed properly while the injury is fresh. |
