Have' nt see any big ones chasing yet. Saw a couple nice ones feeding in a corn field tonight. Saw a little 6 chasin does last weekend. Then a 6 and 8 sparing also. This weekend I saw two small 6' s feeding along with a doe. They didn' t act agressive towards each other nor did the doe seem to mind they were with her. I still have' nt figured that one out yet. Good luck in Pike I' m sure you' ll see some monsters.

yeah today was ruff huntin, by the time i got in the tree i was soaked, then by the time i got cooled off it was about time to come in. I havnt seen any big bucks chasing yet, but its getting there, lots of scrapes and ive seen some little bucks fight a little and chase. No monsters seen so far in Marion County....

I' m leaving for Pike Co. on the 8th! Hopefully things will be rockin' !
We hunted last year from the 11th to the 15th. The little bucks we' re chasing but all the big dudes we saw we' re by themselves cruising.

Ordinarily you should be hunting Pike County during peak rut but so far this has been a crazy season, weather is not cooperating. Hope it cools down for your hunt in Pike Co. Good luck.

I shot a 130 class 10 pt. on oct.28 that chased a doe around for a while but gave up on her pretty quickly. Good thing he did because she went away from me and he come right by me to work a couple of his scrapes!! His bad!!
I think the boys that are in Illinois this week will be disapointed. The weather looks like its going to break toward the end of the week which should make next week end and week GOOD!!!!!!! I' m headed to Indiana to hunt next week on my vacation, I' m all out of buck tags for Illinois already!!
