high country your shooting about 61 # of KE

CPA how were you getting 90 or 85 that is a lot of KE

I am getting 57.65 of KE.........but I' m only shooting 62lbs........

The combo is a 475 gr arrow flying at 295 fps. Here is the formula I used:velocity squared, divided by 450240, times arrow weight in grains. I use a 74lb Golden Eagle Iron Eagle (AMO 251) as my " launcher" . I checked my spreadsheet and actually it is making 92 lbs. Yes, I realize it is overkill but I can pull it comfortably and shoot it accurately(with a lot of practice). It will work on any North American game and bust a whitetails shoulder if I shoot too far forward. I did it once and it makes a horrible sound but the Muzzy broadhead passed through even after breaking a shoulder and two ribs. He went 110 yds with a great blood trail.

I shoot a Mathews LX at 74# draw weight, my arrow is 462 grains it is shooting 270 fps
that is how we do it Navy
