If you cant fix your mechanics to get it right, shoot a shorter draw length, you dont want it to hit, even with long sleeves.

I don' t agree with the long sleeves because if you catch the sleeve with your string it will slow your arrow and change the flight if anything get an arm guard

I' m 5' 7" with regular arm length. With my old bow, I drew 30" . With my new bow I' m now drawing 29" ....alot of people say I should be drawing 28"
You must have long arms if the above is correct I am 5' 8" and my draw lenght is 28" .
I would suggest you go to a good Pro Shop and get measured for correct draw lenght.

99 % of the time this is caused by having a bow with too long a draw length.
david is 100% correct ;)

YUP, your draw length is to long.... or your knuckles drag on the ground when you walk. I' m 5' 9" with a 27 3/4 draw

It' s probably form it generally happens after about 20 or so shots.... maybe getting a lil tired and over relaxed. but its a new bow and now its been shot about 100 times, does the string loosen up (i.e. break in )? I' m 5' 10" and draw length is 28" . I' ve also noticed )or thought i notice) more string noise in the bow now.

I also agree that you are probably a little long on yoru draw length, EXPECIALLY if you are using a release aid.

I try to shoot with a slightly open stance, my feet are not perpendicular to the target. That should help out. From a tree stand you dont always get to choose how you stand. Practice good form!... The way I look at it. If you dont wear an arm guard you deffinatly get negatice reinforcement if you do hit your arm. I do wear an arm guard when wearing a coat. Just to hold my sleave in!
