When you guys and gals shoot, do you focus on the Pin or the Target...
cuz when i focus on the target my pins are blurry... if i focus on the pins the target is BLURRY.......
I' ve always focused on the target... and my pins are blurry....

One eye closed but sometimes open. I have noticed the same thing and I have founded if you don' t think about it you probably will automatically focus on something inbetween making both the target and the pin clear.

I shoot a bow just like I shoot a gun with iron sights. Focus on the front site, target blurred. I found I' m much more accurate on the target range doing it that way.
This however contradicts the " pick a spot" theory when aiming at animals. I' ve found myself, when hunting, focusing on the " spot" .

I normally focus on the pins, but I first focus on target before anything... I shoot left eye dominant, left handed bow, and most of the time, keep my right eye closed. Shoot with both eyes open? .....Can' t do it. [:' (] No matter how much I' ve tried.... Still can' t do it. Way back when, even the Coast Guard tried to teach me on the M-16' s and the 1911 .45 pistol. But, I kept shutting my right eye. Hey, I still qualified on the range in bootcamp! [:-]

I am a Marine and we are taught to focus on our rifles front sight post. I do the same with my bow and seem to shoot pretty well. I have a lot of confidence in this method as we shoot at targets 500 yards away and it seems to work pretty well.
