CA zone d3-5 help

Hey guys so I pulled a California D3-5 tag this year, i have never hunted this area and I have no scouting done, is there anyone out there that can help me out with tips or advice on hunting black tail in this area

They combined 3,4, and 5 a few years ago to make a giant zone and sell more tags.
