I always carry water. If it' s an extended stay I take more. I always carry some power bars. If it' s an extended stay I may throw in some Reese Cups and an apple or two. I don' t really eat unless it' s really cold or it' s a long hunt.

I was just reading an article about calling deer. The guy writing the article was talking about how he was in the woods and heard a grunt..then another...then another etc..He walked towards the sound to find this bonehead sitting in his tree stand. In 60 seconds this " hunter" hit his grunt 24 times and no this was not an attempt at " tending"

I take a book to read. Some candy bars, sandwiches. I also take a couple bottles of that chocolate milk, chugs. I use them as my urinals when they are empty.

Usually i just bring some coffee and some hard candy something that a can not chew without breaking a tooth. It will help pass the time away.

Power Bars and Gatorade. I have a Camelback hydration pack that fits food, water and all the other goodies (saws, knife, compass, gps). Even keeps you warm if you put hot liquid like coffee in it. The best part is that you can drink without making much movement.
