These are absolutely 100% wild deer. I cannot say where they are, but the area is bowhunting only and strictly managed. These deer pics were taken a year ago I believe. I drew a tag for this area and was stunned at the pictures and racks they have there.

I' ve hunted there 3 days and seen 1 little 8-9 point and a few does. The big bucks are not easy to hunt because of the thick brush, but I suspect I' ll have several more opportunities to hunt there before season end. I take a 35 mm camera and 300 mm lens into my stand with me in case that B&C walks out at 100 yards ... at least I can snap photos. This is THE best public land I' ve ever hunted, all thanks to the strict management. I believe its better than the private land I hunt in KS ever year.

I about messed up ! ARGHHH. I' m being very careful not to say where this place is because it IS public land and somewhat of an unknown honey hole !

My guess is some where in SW Iowa. I truly believe the next World Record, if there ever is another one, will come from Iowa, and likely from the SW.;)

Is it just me, or is the last " picture" a painting? I know its framed...looks a lot like a painting...are the rest paintings as well?
