Default Bow for 4.5 year old?

Hi everyone. My son is 4.5 years old and showing lots of interest in archery as he's watched me practice over the years. Yesterday I was flipping through a catalog and he was pointing to bows he "wanted". We had bought the cheap play bows with no real success. Are there any bows for him out there that would have enough power to stick in a target or pop a balloon or something? I'm
Not sure of a draw weight that he'd be able to handle. I'm assuming he's average strength for someone his age? It's my first go around so I'm clueless. Any input would me much appreciated! Thanks!

That is aweful young. My son has one of the barnett bearcats, but they kinda suck. It will stick in a target if you can hit the target. I am looking at getting him a mission Craze this year for christmas, but he is 10.

That's what I thought too, being to young and then I heard people talking about the Genesis Mini. Site says preschool and up and some other boards claim Their 5 year old a shoot which is what made me think maybe there was something out there. At $150 though, not sure I want to spend that If he's too young yet or if there are other options.

I picked up a 2 Bear Scouts from Cabela's. 1 was for my 4.5 year old son and the other for my 7 year old nephew. Are they "toy bows"... kind of. Both pulled them with ease and the draw length accommodates different shooters. The arrows bounce of my Rhinehart target at 10 yards, but have a max range of around 40 yards at the right angle. For me it was more about getting something he could call his own and want to shoot with me. Wanted to get him started and gradually move upward. He thinks it is the greatest bow ever.

Check out the Bear cruzer lite. It goes from 5-45 pounds. It should be perfect for the little guy and enough bow for him to grow into and hunt with.
