Your bucks are coming along nicely. Here's the one we've been watching. From July 22nd. Pulling a couple cams on Aug 6th. Hopefully he's on there and he'll be fully developed. Looks like he will be a 10 this year.

He was pretty nocturnal last year as a 3.5 year old. I'm going to have to figure out where he beds and get close.

Nocturnal so far, I guess I'll just have to wait til the "rut" to get a chance.

The last couple of weeks the buck sightings have been limited, probably due to the abundance of falling acorns and cherries. A couple decent bucks found their way back though.

Our bucks in 3B are out of velvet and have already changed their patterns. We don't have any acorns on our property. We do have cherries and some beech nuts. Lots of browse in the woods. I am just waiting for the deer to hammer our turnip field. But it's still slow. Maybe 6-10 deer are hitting it a night recently. Some years they hit it hard from July through November. Last year I saw 60 deer in the turnip field the first week of Oct.

Wont be too much longer now. Still nocturnal, hope that changes in a few weeks.

My buddy is out of velvet now and I haven't seen him in the normal spots since Sept 5th. He is still showing up in our clover patch at 2:00am to 4:00am, so he's around. Just not showing up where my woods cameras are.

He's a dandy Barnes, good luck and hope you get him. Here's my "nocturnal" buddy, hope we have an early rut.
