Default block target

I am thinking about buying a new broadhead target and the one most advertised is the block. They are higher priced than others but I was wondering if they are worth the extra money.

I've been very happy with my CUBE. Had it ten years now, and I've shot thousands of BHs into it.

As far as the Block, the old style (with laminations held together only by the surrounding shrink wrap) slivered all over the place. I believe the laminations in the newer Block are glued together, but better check before you buy.

I had the same slivering problem with my yellow jacket target that's why I was considering the block. I'll look at the cube. How is it for field points? I have been having issues with my bag targets hanging up when I try to remove arrows. Not everytime but usually 1 or 2 out of a group. Seems to hang up at the back of the field point as it hits the bag itself. Didn't use to have this problem in the past and I haven't changed anything on my arrow field point setup.

I LOVE my block targets, BUT BROADHEADS CHEW THEM UP. They are layered foam that stop the arrow with friction, work great with field points and pretty easy removal. With BH you start to slice the layers and it chews them up pretty quick, plus when you pull a BH out you get foam with it.

I have a cube I shoot BH at, but field points are a pain to get out of that. Yellow Jacket same thing, brutal to get field points out of.

The new block seems to have a shell around it, but I would guess you will chew a hole in that pretty quick

The CUBE is mainly a BH target. You can shoot FPs in it, but they're a bit tough to remove, so I use layered cardboard for FPs.
