Ahhhh, VC, that is not altogether fair....it depends on circumstance.....just as nature does, not to mention intelligence. ;) Nuff said on that one...back to the post.

In close to almost 50 years of being in the woods, NO, I do not consider myself the supreme predator.. Nature has taught me very well how to be humble, and I am most thankful for that. Ask me if I can take care of myself in the wild....and the answer would be a definate YES. However, NO ONE is as good as the ones out there that do it for survival....meaning the creatures of the wild. Quite simply our senses cannot compete adequately.... We as humans although " animals" are not " animals in the wild" and some instincts are/ have been unfortunately " taught" out of many because of our society.....not to say that some of us here surely are survivors. :D[8D];) That is why it is either sheer luck, or tried and true knowledege of the prey we are after that ( sometimes that does not work even) we may be after that we succeed. I am going to agree with christine on this, the animals are fuul time profesionals we are part time amatures. Some times very sucessful amatures but amatures none the less.

I honestly feel like the biggest clutz in the world. I love being out doors in and around all God has Created, but I know I am just a vistitor and have to work super hard to even slightly blend in. I sure love it though!!
