How can i make some homemade scents.or cover scent

I cut some cedar limbs up from the area I hunt and boil them. I then pour the orange water into a spray bottle and walla you' ve got cedar cover scent. Works great for me.

i did that with pine and 3 or 4 days later its like it ruind do you kep it cold
