Excellent animal. That' s what gets me absolutely pumped up to go bowhunting everytime. Sure most times you see doe, fawns and the occasional buck....but you never know when BIG BEN will turn the corner and offer a shot. Congrats to your buddy!!

Great looking specimen James. And I mean that. The deer up in these parts are tough bruisers.
I' ve had a tough year due to some family issues and have not sat in a tree yet. (ouch!!) Although I' m heading to the cabin tomorrow and will be getting ready for the upcoming weeks. If only we could put time in slow motion for the whole month of November!!

Wow, that is one HECK of a buck! Not every day do you see something like that, much less get a shot at one. It' s good to know deer of that caliber are still in our area. I guess shooting a deer like that now goes to show the October lull doesn' t hurt everybody(although I don' t think it' s been helping me much

cutt, it was just amazing to be a part of something that spectacular. Mike, his son Lewis and I were the only ones there to pull it out of the woods. Lewis was only there for a short time because he had to head off to class. I took the majority of the pictures. It' s amazing to see a deer like that, that isn' t already part of a mount.
I figure he would have probably weighed in the 180-190 range. He was scored tonight at 192 gross and 175 net nontypical.
