Okay, just whenever you can get the info. Typically, with a lower weight draw, you will want a little heavier arrow for the kinetic energy. Light and fast does little good if it doesn't have the weight to punch through. At just 45 pounds, that's not a lot of initial weight stored up into the arrow itself. You can get away with light and fast if you have that initial weight behind the arrow which is why the minimum draw weight in a lot of states is 45 pounds. I personally feel it should be 50 but that would take a LOT of traditional bows out of the picture. If his bow has some fairly aggressive cams and fast limbs he should be okay. I would recommend Cut on impact fixed blade broadheads no matter WHAT the weight he ends up with.
