Definitly not bow hunting in the rain. I don' t want to go if it rains the night before into the morning hours. Lets face it bow hunting kills by bleeding out the quary. You can almost bet your blood trail is going to wash away in the wet ground and leaves. It' s just not right to shoot an animal and waist it cause you wanted to hunt in the rain. I hunt big woods and a deer can disappear in any dirrection quick and without a blood trail it would be tough. Not me thanks, not during wet weather.

On Opening day and during the rut is the only time you' ll find me hunting during a downpour or a driving rain. I hunt for enjoyment and I don' t enjoy sitting in the rain when I' m not seeing anything. I bought one of the tree umbrellas just for this purpose and it has served it' s purpose ' cause when I carry it with me---it doesn' t rain.

I hunted in the rain last night. Sprinkle at first to a veritable downpour. I have and umbrella as well and it works great at keeping me dry, but spooks deer from the noise of rain on nylon.
I wouldn' t take any shot but a slam dunk though.
