Geez, I' m gonna get flamed no matter how I write this, but I mean well...

We obviously have had a great influx of teenage hunters in here in the last few days or weeks and buck hunter 89 is likely one of them. I think we should be encouraging them and helping as much as possible and not calling them dumbasses and all. I' m the guy that lives in the glass house and throwing stones, I know. Go ahead and flame me.

With that said, Buck Hunter 89, you do need to give us more info. Maybe you just don' t realize what all info is required yet. Read these posts, especially the one from Rack-Attack, and that will give you a good idea on what all to look for when you hit a deer. It' s almost like CSI on TV. Everything gives a bit more info to help you find your deer. I hope you find it.

I agree 100%

There is no reason to flame the guy. He could of been much more specific though. Hopefully he is out looking as we speak.

Lets try and not let this one get out of hand

Like anyone will listen to me

I' m listening Rack, and watching and the finger is on the button.

I' ll tell you, As disturbed as I am by the " Lost deer posts" lately I am just as bothered by the lack of overall common sense in posting and personal attacks I' ve seen lately here.
And the influx of new members (as well as some " old" members would do well with a refresher of the " Posting Rules" in the upper right corner of the page)

Not on my watch ,so keep it clean and constructive, I will NOT allow this message board to become like a few other boards around the net (You guys know which ones) If the crap continues they will be the only places available for some people to visit.[]

buck hunter 89,
I will second Rack' s request..........we need more info for ANY sort of assessment, and a follow up to your progress would be helpful as well. 1 1/2 lines tells me nothing. A little profile of yourself and hunting experience would be nice too.

Do we actually need more information to go on in finding this deer? I doubt if anyone has ever found a deer by coming back here and getting help as a last resort. If we get more info then about the only thing we can do is possibly prevent his next deer from meeting the same fate by passing along our collective knowledge. Sometimes it is easy to be impatient on these wounding posts. I wish we would see less of them to tell the truth. Maybe keep it to yourself if you screwed the pooch. There isn' t much we can do after the fact.

89...Sorry about the lost deer. Check around on this site for tracking tips and what to do after the shot. Also, if you are a relatively new bow hunter a deer anatomy chart goes a long way towards being better prepared. Jim

As a " Moderator" you need learn to control your threats and how you address a problem or a violation. If not, you just might be responsible for some leaving this site and going over to the competitors.

Hunters by nature are aggressive and competitive. I have yet to see any extreme vulgarity or over-the-line personal threats.

Have you ever nudged or violated the rules?

c903,
I don' t really need to address your comments but what the heck I will.

First of all, YOU don' t see the vulgarity and personal attacks...why? Because we as moderators are doing our jobs and you didn' t get a chance to. There' s that little " Report Abuse" button that members can hit to report these things.....when they are reported they are dealt with immediately and 99% of these are not seen by too many members.
Take this topic for instance........there are 3 responses that are no longer visible here for personal threats and profanity and the people have been warned.
Maybe in the future I' ll just forward all of these directly to you so that you can tell me how to deal with them? I got 9 of them today alone.

You are an intelligent guy and in spite of your " Button Pushing" stances sometimes ,I like having you as a member, but do me a favor and stick to something you know a little more about, because that something isn' t everything.
It was you who once said that you' d be very dissapointed if you or anyone else caused someone to not stick to their guns when they believe in something.

I know what I am doing, so thanks anyway for the help.

And to answer your question about bending the rules? I just did by taking the time to explain why I am so sick and tired of things that you just happened to not see because I and the other mods made it a nicer place to play in.
