I have a question for y' all. Does everyone hunt and shoot with their quiver mounted on the bow or do you prefer another setup?

Curious...Clint

I USE THE QUIVER TO GO THE STAND BUT WHEN I GET IN STAND I TAKE THE QUIVER OFF AND HANG IT AROUND THE TREE. THE QUIVER JUST WAYS ME DOWN WHEN I SHOOT TOOK IT OFF SHOOT A LOT BETTER.

GO DEEP HUNT HARD.

I practice without the quiver on the bow and don' t want to re-tune the bow to allow for it. I mount the quiver to the bow only for the trip to/from my stands. Once in the tree, it comes off and is mounted to the tree with a specially designed bracket I created. The only drawback is when encountering a possible shot on the trip in/out since there' s more movement and potential for noise involved.

I also take my quiver off and hang it from the tree. I also use a little lube of some kind to make the arrows come out very easily and quietly which will be very important if the need to reload arises.

I know this is completely off the subject here, but atlasman, can you please tell me what that is a pic of that I am staring at? I have looked at that thing for a while now and I just can' t imagine what it is.

Also (back to the subject) I do a lot of still hunting with my bow (compound and recurve) and with my compound the quiver stays on the bow, but with my recurve, I have a back quiver.

Two days ago I forgot to take off my quiver and it spooked two doe that were passing by when I brought my bow up. The stupid thing got caught and shook a limb. I won' t be making that mistake again. [:' (]
