Default Curse of the yearlings!

Tonight I hunted a lush alfalfa field for the 3rd time since our season opened, and once again came away skunked. All three nights I' ve had shots at yearlings, but can' t buy a shot on a mature doe. In fact, tonight I had 4 little ones at 25 yards and no mature does even entered the field.

That brings the total to 7 yearlings that I' ve passed up. I guarantee the first big doe that walks by me will be tasting a Rocky Mt. Snyper!

Hello PABeardBuster, My first weekin bow hunting, I had nothing come in close to me for a shot but yerlings. Are you seeing more yerlings this year than before?
I have never seen as much. It tells me, that there is either a big buck around or there is a lot of bucks around. What do you think?

I' ve been noticing more yearlings this season. Maybe they' re just concentrated in the area I' m hunting. Just seems like they' re all over the place.

Ive seen a lot of yearlings this year. I think the herd grew quite a bit around here. They also dropped them real late this year.
