Default MO 8 Point Down on the 1st

I shot this nice 8 point Sat. the 1st around 5:30 pm I did some light rattling and I heard something that sounded like fighting behind me. I grabbed my grunt tube and snort wheeze and here he came bristled up and ears laid back He stop about 20 yards away across the ditch and I let it go. The swhacker did its job and he went 20 yards and done. I feel extremely lucky this year I can not hunt one of the best properties in the area anymore due to I am no longer part of the family that owns it but my grand parents have some land so I put cameras up and got pics of this deer and 3 others that are bigger and it all came together and looks like I have a new good spot.

Congrats, pretty buck. Where in MO are you hunting? For 20yrs I hunted a large (10k acres) cattle ranch south of Mtn. View, in southern MO. I sure enjoyed those large tracts of hardwood, the predictable deer movement thru that hilly, steep terrain & the great amount of buck activity.

Nice one! With genes like that floating around ... and bigger ones that you know about, it sounds like you have a new honey hole! Congrats!
