Default 250 lbs?

I have this guy only visit my food plot one time. I have never seen a deer in the wild in my hunting area (SE Indiana) that I firmly believe may be in the 250 lb range. Does anyone have experience judging weight that could give me their opinion on his live weight and perhaps age?
Thanks for any input you may have.

In Minnesota and Wisconsin we have a big buck challenge based on weight.

This monster won it last year at 252 pounds, field dressed.

I am a horrible judge at on the hoof weight.

Take a look at some of the pics on www.usbigbuck.com, maybe that will help.

We've shot a bunch between 180-230 so I think I have a pretty good feel for the 200lb range. We always weigh our deer field dressed and calculate the live weight with a formula I found. Dressed weight X 1.25 + 4 = live weight.

Depends on the area and the average size of the deer. We have taken a few here that max out the 300 lb scale that dine every year on beans and corn. But, I have seen full grown deer in other parts of the country that look small compared to the Midwest whitetails.
