Default Big buck disappears

I hunt in east tn and I have been hunting a big deer for 3 years. I've got a few pictures of him from last year's rut, but also got pics of him in March this year. After the rut he disappears. I've hung cameras everywhere but got no results. I think he's dead every year then he appears. I need some advice.

same thing happens here...I see some nice bucks in velvet then I dont see them on my property...they move down the road 1 to 3 miles away...unless you have a lot of acreage or a high fence this is prob the case.

They go to their fall range. Summer home range and fall home range can be a few miles apart. A few years back I would see a nice buck on land I hunted during the summer but as soon as fall came around he was gone. Gone from cameras, gone from sightings, and I surely didn't see him on stand. Unfortunately, I couldn't locate him during the season and didn't see him until the next summer. This process went on for three years until he was hit by a vehicle about 2 miles from where I'd been seeing him. He was a 151" ten point when he got hit by the vehicle.

He didn't get big by accident. A few years back I was hunting a nice 10pt. Had several pics of him but never seen him. Finally seen him checking cams on christmas day. Never seen or had pics of him again until the following gun season when I was lucky enough to get him.
