Draw Length Poll
#37
Ok......Thus far I've tallied some interesting results.
First of all.....the people who responed must be the "Freaks and Geeks" of bowhunting, because so far the "Average" human being is not well represented!!
Look no further than "Arthur P" and "jsasker" at 78" tall apiece......that's 6'6" to you guys that can't divide!
ANyway....the results:
1) Of the (33) people who responded to "Height" the average height = 72.03" or 6'
2) Of the (21) people who responded to "Wingspan" the average wingspan = 74.79" WHich was a bit surprising......bunch of knucle draggers.
This number can then be used to determine the "Estimated Average Draw Length" for these 21 individuals......this = 29.89"
3) Of these people who responded to "Draw LEngth" I am only factoring the same people who included Wingspan for the sake of comparison......get a tape measure people!.
Anyway......the "Average ACTUAL Draw Length" that these same 21 people are shooting comes out to = 29.69"
SO it appears that even though wingspan is slightly higher proportionately to height......the "Estimated" and "Actual" draw lengths that people should be shooting VS. what they actually are shooting is pretty darn close.
If it wasn't for ABM screwing it up with his 27" draw on a 73.5" wingspan it may have worked out exactly the same.......so either we half way know what we are doing, or somebody set your bows up correctly.
(I had a little time to kill)

Well, thanks Matt for putting the numbers together. Saved me some time!
Interesting results so far. If I stretch I can add an extra inch to my wingspan, so I would put a +/- of 1" for that average. As for draw lengths, I'm starting to feel that I must look like cupid drawing a bow! Time to get the right set up for myself. How much do you think a 1&1/2 seasoned Q2XL would go for?
