RE: What' s Your Range?

I have a self imposed 30 yard max when hunting. I practice futher out, but still keep those shots under 30. I love those 20 to 25 yard gravy shots. I' d rather have those then a 10 or 15 yard shot. Shots over 30.......its amazing how many things that can happen to make a shot a disaster. (wind, slightly misjudging distance, the deer moving or jumping the string, branches and twigs, reduced penetration and the list goes on!)

Keep them close!

Good Luck!

i' m quite comfortable shooting up to 40 yards. Shot my elk this year at 30 with no difficulty at all but he was perfectly broadside without a clue of my presence. It all depends on the situation if i have an easy shot then i feel i can touch out and make it but if its past 40 or then animal is staring at me from 30 yards away i would not take a chance.

RE: What' s Your Range?

My max range is 30 yards. I have 2 pins set. my first is 25 yards. under 25 yards aim a little low and at 30 yards aim dead center deer and will kill em with a heart shot. my second pin is just for practice and set at 40 yards. I have never shot a deer over 25 yards and most art around 15-20 yard shots.:)
