The deerJust had to be wearing a necklace Don' t know what kind, maybe the one I lost last year near there.
OH What a Morning. Got to my parking place a 5am. realized a forgot my bolts. Went home ,just up the road and got them. started up the trail to my brush blind. This trail is used by fourwheelers and they were running there Sunday and had a muddy mess. I slipped and my one cane fell in the mud puddle. Bent over to get it and my light on my head fell off in to the mud puddle. Anyway got to my blind sat down took a deep breath. In one hour it was light. About 7:30 saw a herd of deer in the thicket. They moved to my right and dissappeared. About 8:30 I seen a lone deer coming thru the fence line thicket right toward me. I had to turn in my chair, cause it was going to go to the left of me at only 10 yards. This area is very thick with cedar trees and undergrowth. for you guys that dont know I dont turn to easy and use a crossbow because of a handicap. It kept inching forward closer ,closer. It stopped behind a tree and was nervous. It turned around and trotted off in the direction it came from.10 minutes later here it comes again the same path. I got ready took the safety off. Again it changed its mind and walked away. It knew them other deer where beyond me in the thicket bedded down. And here it comes again this time he stepped in to a lane I cut in the brush. Whack I seen the bolt hit a rock behind the deer and go straight up like a rocket. He jumped crashed thru the thicket. WOW a pass thru! I seen it come out on the other side. Waited 30 minutes. went to retrieve my bolt. Could not find it. So statred looking for blood NONE. What is going on.I walked in a circle for 2 hours found his tracks no blood. Went back to the impact spot. Looking all over for my bolt. I looked up there it was sticking in a tree branch about 20 feet high. I did not see any blood on it. Then I carefully checked the line of shot and seen I hit a branch. But the branch was low????? Came home feeling a little better it was not wounded, Just plain shot under it and the bolt appeared to come out on the otherside before it took a rocket ride. So I went out back and shot a bolt. OH MY it was shooting 5 inches low . No wonder I missed. It was ok yesterday. Reset the bow and shot 5 bolts at 20 yards with a 1 inch pattern. ONE Lucky deer and he has to have one alful good necklace. I just Dont know how he got it over his massive 170 plus antlers. Yes it was the big one. I' m sick ,ready to cry.I spent one month scouting that deer out. Seen its rubs and tracks, but this was the first look and probably the last. This is a good spot.Believe it or not even though it is in A crowed hunting area ,no one is hunting within a 1/4 mile of me. OH I' m going to cry and get it over with. BOO HOO. Oh I forgot it I think a 15 pt with about a 22 inch spread and the 15 th Point was a droptine that looked like a club, Oh I' m upset

Hey Cardeer,
Maybe you haven' t been paying attention when all these guys have been ordering your necklace!
They say the mature bucks are smart, but I just can' t see them learning to type with their hooves

CD...It has to be my necklace.!!! Without me knowing,my little guy grabbed it last week out of my pack when I was loading my hunting gear in the truck. I looked all over outside on Friday night and half the day on Sunday. It is gone! He lost it on me! I was too embarrassed to email you with another request. I was so upset my wife even helped me look...
Somehow it made it back down your way...
