At 9:10 this morning I saw what I thought was a doe heading towards me out of a clear cut.It stood broadside at about 50 yards and I could see the horns.It was a small 6 pointer.It slowly made it' s way behind a pine tree,so I stood up and grabbed my bow.The deer made it' s way across a small opening and started browsing.It walked forward with it' s head down until his head was behind a tree.It seemed like I might have a shot but it was about 35 yards and there was a little brush in front of it.So i decided to wait until it walked a couple more feet into a nice little shooting lane.Of course that never happened.The deer looked up and turned on it' s heels.Took about 7 steps back and gave me the white flag salute as it went over a small hill.I know it never saw me,I think it might have winded me but you know where i' ll be in the morning.Hopefully his daddy will cruise through,me and him need to have a little talk.:)
