Very good points guys... Maybe that is why nothing has been heard of him or this deer until now again... That' s a pretty big lie to try to live... I also heard something about a video tape, and how would they get the pics that I have seen on the web... This guy is not rich, so how would you make up pics like that...?? Just a question..

I like the controversy on this topic from what I have read this guy is a one odd duck! I checked with a taxidermist last year and he said that it would have cost a guy about $450 just in matierials to manufacture the rack like that. Not to mention the time, tools, special equipent, etc. He said he would never make a rack like that for anyone, unless it was a scored and registered rack. If he had it would cost between $800 - $1200. (off the top of his head) Now Mr. Rampolock is not a weathy person, he most likely didn' t proffit by the rack, but he may have some buddies or resourses that could manufacture such a rack. So I belive that the " buck" is real, now here is my SPECULATION on what may have happend.
NOT THAT THIS OPINION IS BASED ON ANY FACT JUST SPECULATION> What if he had shot a pened up deer on a deer farm? Not impossible to raise a pig like that. Then there is the ear that seems to have a notch in it. The problem would be that when you go to register a World Record animal I think that they hook you up to a polygraph machine. Now the buck is probably real, but where he shot him might not be the ligit part. It may even have a tatoo on the lip or brand on the back of it' s neck if it was a " farm" deer. Just my spectulation on a reason for not registering such a valuable animal.

I haven' t taken the time to read all the posts, don' t want to, there' s so much controversy in this subject anyway.
The only thought I' ve ever had about the Rompola Buck in-between all the controversy is..................What if it is a legitimate buck?? What a shame that would be huh??

I believe Rompola did kill that big buck and he had it mounted right beside the bigfoot he killed with a toothpick[X(]
It' ashame I have this whole morality thing going on. If I were without conscience I could be one helluva salesman, because there are some people that believe most anything they hear.
Skeptical, yea I' m skeptical. If you' re not naturally skeptical these days you' re probably getting " took" by someone and don' t even know it. I have always had difficulty looking at something that looked like sh!t and smelling something that smelled like sh!t and then calling it a cup cake
If that' s being skeptical well then I am it!

Yeah after reading that agreement, I would think that if it was a Real Buck taken legally that he would have had it scored and entered by now. So my opinion has changed on this subject after reading that. And tazman had an excellent point that he has had others scored and entered into the books... So why not this one. Makes me even wonder about the others... Maybe they should look more closely at those deer, although I' m sure they have...
