Ameristep blinds

Was thinking about buying an ameristep brickhouse blind. does anyone have one? Any comments on them? it costs 149.00 which sure beats the double bull at 399.00. Can the expandable broadheads shoot through their mesh windows.

I have the ameristep dog house, hunted in it for the first time this weekend, I like it alot, plenty of room, sets up easy takes down easy. Ive heard different stories about shooting mech' s through the screen, some say no problem some say it doesnt work, ameristep doesnt recommend it, and I for one wouldnt either, figure its 50/50 whether its gonna mess up or not, why risk it. I just keep the screen in on the sides I wont be shooting out of and the flaps half open ont he shooting sides, keeps it nice and dark inside.

Well I have one and it sets up OK,but between me and 3 guys we wrestled that thing for 30 minutes when we were trying to fold it. on the ground in the air and Never did get it folded. My buudy took it to the spot after one fold. the other guys also bought one ,but took it back. They were not going to wrestle with theirs in the woods .Mine will stay at the spot till it rots.I cant get it folded, especial alone and handicapped. I will never get it back in to the carring sack.So I' m using that to carry my food to the blind.

I have put mine up in the living room once and outside to air out once today. it is not that complicated to me to put up and take down. it does take some getting use to though. will put it to the test this weekend. i shot my spitfire broadheads through the mesh 2 times and didn' t open up and hit my target where I aimed. i have never hunted on the ground for deer. always been out of a treestand. my friends don' t like heights and i would like to hunt with them so i bought one to give it a try.

Just got mine last week. Set it up in the yard twice and didn' t seem to have much of a problem with it. I had no problem folding it up and getting it in the bag. It is a little tricky setting up, but I don' t see a big problem.

I have a Doghouse blind. I messed with it in the yard until I figured out the proper procedure. Once I figured out it hasn' t been a problem since. Pretty simple actually...but not until that darn thing broke over for the first time and the light bulb in my head went on. I wish that light bulb was brighter sometimes. If you have a physical disability then it could be a problem for sure though.
