Default 2 part question

So #1 I have been hunting a piece of land for 3 years now and there are several people hunting it. I just don't know what to do. Every year its something. Last year someone told that land owner that I was in the bar telling everyone I could that it was ok for them to hunt there. Now they also told her I was in bar 25 miles from my house. Not true. This is happening again this year. Not the same story but you get it. At a loss. I just don't know what to do. Now when I talked with the owner I simply said I don't like to point fingers or play the he said she said games so I told that it wasn't true and I'm sorry that's what your hearing. I feel like I took the high road but I'm sure its worth the trouble. Now part 2. I have a second property I can hunt. It's only about 12-15 acres of timber and about 35 acres of alph-alpha. I put up a ground blind on the edge of the timber but there about 40 spots that it looks like the deer come and go. Any advise on placement. there's also a stand out there too.

Tell the first landowner you don't drink and not to believe everything you hear...sounds like the OTHER people are trying to get you pushed off the hunting land..

#2 find a heavy trail and put your stand in the tree line but with a clear shot...clear shooting lanes...if you can put a game cam near where you want your stand or where the stand is if you can use that one. see what comes through there and when...and adjust accordingly! good luck!
