Just got back from my first ever antelope hunt and had a blast. I went with a bow so that made it twice as enjoyable. I practiced all summer at 20, 30, and 40+ yards and I ended up shooting him at 12 1/2 yards go figure. The practice did come in handy when I shot my doe, she was at 43+ yards.

Some details: I went thru an Outfitter, Miller Outfitting in Gillette, Wyoming. Doug is an excellent host and guide. He made every effort to make sure everyone had a successfull trip, by the way, all six guys in my group got one and 4 out of 6 made P&Y!!!
I used the trusty 02 Patriot and 100gr rocky Mountain broadheads for the buck and Rocket sidwinders for the doe. Niether antelope went very far. Although they both broke my Carbon Express cx300' s
Anyway the entire trip was a blast. If all you diehard whiteail hunters want a change of pace you gotta try this antelpoe gig
it is awesome.
By the way I would like to thank Jerry from Stealth archery for his Stealth stabilizer and ground bow holder. Those were to handy items. See you in November Jerry

Congrats Kidd, sounds like you had a great hunt. I live 90 miles east of Gillette, we also have a good goat population and I love to chase them. How did you hunt, waterholes, spot and stalk, did you try any decoying.

I shot this antelope over a water Hole. A couple of guys used a decoy and stalked up to two nice buck at 30yards. The rut was on out there when we were there. It was truly an awesome experience.
