How many of you use or have tried to use 1 pin at 20 yards for all your shots and is it an effective set up? Or do you prefer multiple pins for each 10 yard increment?

I have tried it and I would say its not as effective as multiple pins in 10 yard increments.

I think it was in part because I shot instinctive for over 2 decades before I used a pin sught for hunting. I did try up to 4-pins for a while and even a pendulum. However I found no real advantage from about point blank out to 30 yards over a 1-pin sight. I will admit that for the last 5-6 years or so that I was able to use a bow, I used 2 pins ... I started taking more 40-45 yard shots because I had acquired a rather fast compound and had confidence in clean kills at that distance. The second pin helped me mitigate the arc. When I was so active in target archery I did use up to 6 pins, but I found even a 4-pin sight way to busy for hunting situations.

With a lot of quality practice, I would say that you could become very proficient with a one pin system .... certainly out to 20 yards.

I went red dot scope which for all intensive purposes is single pin. I highly recommend it. It's much better because there is less clutter in the way. When you shoot a gun, you use one in and adjust your aim for yardage.

Sighting it in is very easy. Here is a slick trick. Stand 10' away from your target on a direct horizontal level. Sight in your shot to the bulleyes. That will work out to be dead on around 22 to 25 yards shot depending on your set up. Takes only a few mins at most.

I use a HHA single pin that adjust from 20-60 yards. I'll never switch

I have used one pin for going on 8 years now. The only way to go for me.

I use an Hha single pin adjustable, 20-70 and like it a lot, but am thinking of switching to a seven pin sight, the single pin is hard to adjust when you need to quickly.

I use an HHA single pin adjustable sight too. When hunting, I lock it down at 25 yards and just hold under or over accordingly. If my adrenaline kicks in and I hold dead on regardless of yardage (yup, it happens) I'm never really far off the mark because I limit my shots to 30 yards.

I like multiple pins for hunting. Sure for whitetails or other game in a stand its fine to have one pin to 30 yds (an knowing where you bow hits at 20 and 35 yds). But with the multiple pin when I am in a stand I can pre-range objects at 20 out to 60 yds and know what pin to use. Sometime game moves too fast and only stops for a second or two to give you your shot. Fiddling with a sight to adjust it to that range can cost you the shot. Because I've seen it on TV hunting shows and confirmed what I suspect happens all too often.

Will the HHA sights go down to 10 yards? Id like to have an adjustable for 3D shooting but most of my hunting shots are 10-15 yards.
