Did You Know?........
A muzzleloader shoots a bullet at a relatively low velocity. For that reason, a black powder hunter should lead a running deer. A good rule of thumb is to lead a running deer 60 yards away about half a body length.

My uncle is very knowledgeable when it comes to muzzleloader hunting, but he obviously didnt know that. Example: Last year, he got 8 shots a single deer. Yes, I said 8 shots at one deer with a muzzleloader. I find that hilarious. [:-] I never let him hear the end of it for not hitting a deer with 8 shots.

8 shots with a muzzleloader! Was that at the same deer? Oh my that has got to be a record. The deer must have wanted out of its misery or something. 8 Shots is way too many with a rifle. How does a deer stick around for 8 shots with a muzzleloader?
