Default Who does this

Ok Ok Ok i know we are just about to start the season (some have already started) but i am just wondering how many guys bow fish during the offseason. Cause i got to say it is one of the funnest things i have ever done (Not including hunting). And it is even better when you have a 40 poung carp pulling your flat bottom all over the lake. Just carious how many do this?

I am planning on setting up an old bow of mine with a bowfishing unit for next summer. I have heard it is really fun. I have a lake by my town that has some huge carp and muskie too so I am excited.

I did years ago but my new bow has got too much zip and I am afraid that the string will snap and that is not good. I may set up an old bow to do it

the arrows run aroung 6-12 dollars a piece, and the rig, you can get a kit for about 20 dollars. It is a blast, you don' t lose to many arrows if you have a good not on your arrow

I' ve been doing it for years.

All you need is a decent bow......I use a recurve and a Onieda Tomcat.

The reel seat is about $20.........you can get a arrow with a head from $8 to $10....

200 lb Fastflight bowfishing line will cost you about $10 a roll........

A zebco 808, will run you about $30..........

That' s about all you need to get started..........

200lb line will not break, don' t care how fast your bow is.

I shoot my tomcat at about 40lbs and shoot through almost everything.

If you shoot plum through a gar, more than likely he will cut your line, so turn your bow down.
