i dont have troublle beleiving it. Even if it didnt die from drowning, it could have broken its neck or something and fell there. Who knows...nice deer tho.

I would have to agree with the broken neck theory. The other buck probably just kept up the attack until the one quit moving.
I read about a guy who shot a buck and it went down. While it was down a smaller buck came in and attacked the dead deer. Maybe some payback.
I was watching a turkey hunting show, and this guy arrowed a bird and it dropped right there. Next thing you see is 2 other birds attacking the dead bird. The guy shot a second bird. He had 2 tags.
