All I know is that whenever I go and check the bag limits before I go fishing I don’t catch a dang thing.

And a bunch of years ago I actually had the balls to put a down payment on a mount in August, a full 3 months before my deer season even started. Just because I had the money and thought I was the great white hunter. [] Needless to say the Taxidermist held my money for a full year – but did make a beautiful mount of my pretty purple NY buck tag.[X(]

So……..this year, after selling my pickup and buying a new Cherokee, I needed a way to bring the horns home. So I just spent over three hundred on a hitch and nice tubular cargo rack – for the sole purpose of bringing home deer. Of course this purchase was based on the assumption that I will have something to bring home.

Any of you guys superstitious like me??

Should I even bother to get a liscence this year – after such a purchase and presumption on my part??

I doubt that! In fact, that' s probably a very smart investment. Throwing deer inside your vehicle has been a specialty of mine for a long time [:' (] Although losing the truck for the cherokee...hmmm

Now....paying for your mount a year in advance [] You just know that' s asking for trouble! LOL [:-]

I may have jinxed myself this year. I entered myself in a " big buck pool" at the pro-shop! My best friend and I both entered and then we thought " we have a good chance of getting bucks, but, since we entered the buck pool, it may just come back to bite us in the butt!"

Rack, from the way you describe it, I wouldn' t think your fancy Cherokee could make it back into those impenatrable jungles you call home!

Last year I didn' t eter the big buck pool in my club, and yup, would have won it. I' m not entering it this year either. I figure if there' s a chance of everybody laughing at me again, I got a chance to get a big one.
