I think what may have happened is i shot and the arrow hit and went out one of the sides. I dont know. Being my first buck either way it sucks.

I tried that shot one time in my early bow hunting days and have never tried it again. I never did recover the buck I shot that way.

my first deer with a bow was a doe. the shot was opposite of yours. my shot was behind rib cage and blew out her brisket the size of a baseball. heck i did not know where she went.. turned out she only went like 15-20yrds in some really thick nasty briar bushes. I am with V8Ranger. go back with a few friends and grid search it.
