I' ve shot through the shoulder on 3 or 4, using a Muzzy 3 blade, quick kills. I' ve also hit the joint on one, about an inch of penetration, little blood, no deer.

I have broken the opposite shoulders on bucks 3 times. 2 stayed inside the deer, 1 the head exited, but not much more. Once I dislocated the joint on a doe. Her leg flopped around as if it were busted, but upon butchering all bones were in tact, but the one joint was ripped apart.
