Default good reasonably priced hunting stickbows?

ive had the stickbow bug for awhile but i havent gotten into them quite yet. Im not sure which way im leaning, but id like to pick up something, either longbow or recurve that would make a good bow to learn with, but then also be able to use to hunt with as well. I see them all the time on ebay going pretty cheap, old ben pearson longbow, or a bear kodiak, etc. I know its all subjective but if you were going to give someone a list of 4 or 5 good bows that wont break the bank, what would they be. Also what do you think for a hunter, recurve or longbow or some kind of hybrid?

I had a Bear Kodiak 45# @28" until it broke. My brother just got a Ragim Wildcat 40# at 28". I think it was $200. It shoots well and not much hand shock. Looks good too. He doesn't hunt he just likes to shoot trad. I shot it and enjoy it. You can pick up an old bear recurve for probably about 100$. I like them. Those were the bows back in the day. I've heard good things about Bob Lee bows too.
