Default Using a stablizer for hunting??

So I have one group of people telling me "use a stablizer, use a stablizer! Your shots will be more accurate." Then on the other side of me I have a group telling me (which includes my husband) "you should never use a stablizer for hunting. It'll just make your bow heavier." Any advice or suggestions??

I have an 8" B-Stinger on my bow that I hunt with. Its not too large that it gets in the way. Wouldnt want anything more than 8" though.

I use a 3.5" S-Coil stabilizer for sound/recoil dampening purposes, but not for accuracy purposes. Target archers use those very long stabilizers to help with accuracy.

That's the point. It will stablize the bow from walking around while on target.

A stabilizer is a must!! They reduce the recoil produced by the bow limbs. The energy not transferred to shooting the arrow has to go somewhere. That somewhere being the bow, the string, your arm, etc. The stabilizer is designed to accept some of that extra energy.

Get one. Just make it a short hunting version. They are not that heavy.

Default A main duty of a hunting stabilizer

is to keep an expensive sight from walking into the tree first.
