Default Feeling really bad after tonights hunt

My bad luck has continued this year the bucks are chaseing does her in Oklahoma. I have a real nice buck chase three does in to the field that i am watching. There are already five does and seven elk in the field i have been watching for about an hour. I start gunting and he makes the 300 yard distance in like five minutes bringing does with him to where i am at. He runs up to about 20 yards of me broad side and i went to draw my bow and it hits my range finder. Well he stops which would be awesome but i hadnt gotten my bow drawn. He sat broad side of me for about 20 seconds and runs off. I am going back out there tomorrow I hope he comes back. Sorry yall just had to vent my frustration. I will up date yall if i get him tomorrow.

Sorry to hear your misfortune but this is why it is called hunting. Better yet that is archery hunting. I feel your frustration I believe that every die hard bow hunter has gone through this same situation or least a similar situation! Keep trying, there is always tomorrow be thankfull of that.

Heck that's not bad! Sounds pretty dang exciting.
Oh yes we have tales. Comedies of errors more like it. Glad some of mine were not taped.
Enjoy your season,no pressure but pics when you score.

These things happen to the best of us. It is what makes us better hunters. Good luck and stay positive.

That right there is why it's hunting and not shopping! I had a nice 8 point stand at twenty yards yesterday with a couple sticks right across his vitals for about five minutes. then walk straight away. Keep at it, you'll see more.

I had a similiar situation here in Maine, but there is only about 5 deer in our herd so keep at it. At least you didnt make a bad shot on a beautiful buck. I just love the woods, especially during bow season.
