10/15/03 8 pt. complete pass thru. deer went 30 yards.

10/28/03 10 pt. no exit hole and I hit nothing that I could tell that should of kept me from a pass thru! Liver shot, deer went 100 yards.

Both shoots were about 20 yards and with 1 3/4" wasp jack-hammers.

I think I will stick with smaller cutting diameter mechanicals from now on. Shockwaves and rocket steelheads have both done well for me in the past.

100 grain Rocket Meteorite + broadside at 12 yards 80# doe = one big hole, pass through, 40 yard death run, dead in 7 seconds.

Head busted a rib going in, through both lungs and top of the heart, exited between two ribs to stick in the ground 5 inches (70' #s of ke). More than adequate blood trail (lessened by the heart shot and speed of her departure) not necessary as she piled up in sight.

Thought I should add, this head flies EXACTLY like similar weighted field points out of a well tuned bow shooting ACCs. Head is a titanium version of the steelhead design. They don' t make them any more as they were $50 per 3 pack and apparently us hunters didn' t want to buy them, but I got a bunch on closeout for $15 per 3 pack...

11-1-03 Magnus Stinger 4 blade(highly recommended)(extremely sharp! and I thought Steelforces were sharp)

7 yard quartering away shot, entrance was in middle of rib cage, through both lungs and out opposite front leg muscle (perfect double lunger). Great blood trail! 70 yards later, meat in the freezer. Now I can hunt the buck that' s been making telephone pole size rubs all over my zone (local conservation program).

Good luck all,

Jason

90 Grain/4 Blade/Muzzy - 30 yard shot, double-lung and heart - complete pass through... arrow and broadhead still in good shape and ready to go again (after cleaning and resharpening).

Ive got an update on my NugentBlades. Tonight i put a 27 yd shot on a 120lb dressed weight doe. she was quartering to me and i took out both lungs. she went 30-40 yds b4 crashing! it was truly magnificent.
