RE: Muzzy broadheads? Which ones are sharp?
Why not just sharpen them all again and then you will be 100% sure that they are all sharpened. If you trust yourself, try one of the methods that the others mentioned.

RE: Muzzy broadheads? Which ones are sharp?
I don' t think it is necessary to sharpen the Trocar tip. Unless you shoot it into something really hard and blunt the very tip it should do the job just fine:D

RE: Muzzy broadheads? Which ones are sharp?
Remember that these are THIN blades!!! To get them sharp, you have to use LIGHT pressure! Match the angle Muzzy puts on them and VERY lightly move them across your stone/s.

You guys are kidding right??
Replacement blades are like $7 Why would anyone go through so much trouble trying to sharpen something they can buy new for so cheap?? |
RE: Muzzy broadheads? Which ones are sharp?
If it helps broadheads are to be sharpened at a 17% edge, this produces a extremely sharp cutting surface but not durable like a hunting knife at 25-30%. I have sharpened then in a lansky but you have to be careful as the locking design can cause the blade to twist and make for a long night.
Atlasman has the best idea just go buy a pack of replacement blades and then your sure. |
RE: Muzzy broadheads? Which ones are sharp?
I do not want to sharpen my blades I just wanted to sharpen the ones I practiced with just to see how sharp I could get them. Now I want to sort those out. I wouldn' t want to use a re-sharpened blade on a deer.
