Default Your Bowhunting area

So curious. You guys hunt in wood areas off a small back road? Or do you guys bow hunt in the middle of the nowhere where it's a good hike or a four wheeler ride.

bow hunting- off a dirt road outside suburbs near farmland

centerfire/flintlock/slug gun- its a good 2 mile walk into our spot in the mountains (we usually hunt there for tradition, and i really enjoy it)

Sounds awesome! Open field and mountain hunting sounds nice. Flat Arkansas and Texas land down here!

I love hunting the mountains, and swamps. Nothing beats being 2 miles in the woods chasing the northeast bucks!

Every one of my stands is with in 100 yards of a gravel road except for one that is 400. Also one of my stands is within 100 yards of my back porch.

Depends on the property I am on. I hunt near roads, back roads, driveways, fields, homes (buildings), and deep woods. I have been very successful in all these area's over the years.

I try to stay near a logging road but I like open fields and thick woods... I like deep onto areas that others wont go or dont want to go but I hope they have logging roads for an easy drag out... need one of them deer sleds...

The closer I can get to my house or truck or road the better for me as far as recovery goes. The places where I hunt hold nice deer during the rut so there is no need to go very far into the deep forest. I have gone deep but by the time I get there with my climber I'm soaking wet and will have made to much noise so it has not paid off so far. Still hunting is what I do if I go deep now and I travel light.

Im in about an 50 acres plot of trees right in the middle of 1200 acres or corn and soybean. Its about a half mile walk through the corn just to get to the stand.
