Default Homemade deer lure. Help me.

A buddy and I have been contemplating making our own deer lure. So far we have decided to put vanilla, apple cider, cut up sugar beets, and cut up apples into a pot. Add a little water and boil. Figure all the flavors will mix well. Let cool, get all the chunks out, put in spray bottle, and serve.

Im looking for advise here guys and gals. If anyone makes their own lure let me know what works and what doesn't work. Id appreciate any info yall have. Thanks and good huntin.

Maybe some creamed corn?? I would keep it refrigerated so it doesn't ferment!
Regular vanilla extract has a % of alcohol. You could simmer the vanilla first to cook off the alcohol. or just use vanilla beans. Sounds good. Let us know how it works.
Good luck
